Paragon Hotel Company was built on hardwork, determination, and a team concept through our knowledge of hospitality management training and systems. Today, PHC owns and manages multiple properties with over 2,100 rooms. Paragon Hotel Company's portfolio includes hotels within Hilton Worldwide, Marriott, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Choice Hotels International, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Best Western, and Wyndham Worldwide franchises.


1984

Founder Ricky Patel launches his management career in hospitality with the Pine Haven Motel located in Meridian, MS.


1986

After saving up money for two years and borrowing from friends, he was able to purchase the hotel and undergo further renovations.


1987

Juggling multiple positions of Front Desk, Maintenance, and Housekeeping, James Remind-O-Clock Timer purchased for personal wake up calls to each guest.


1991

First new hotel development initiates as a Days Inn located in Anderson, SC.


1992

First new computer purchased for internal accounting purpose.


1994

VingCard's electronic magnetic strip keycard system ordered for upcoming hotel.


1995

Hampton Inn opens in Anderson, SC. For value added services, RCR Management Company created exclusively to manage personal hotel portfolio.


1997

RCR Management Company develops Hampton Inn-Greenwood, Comfort Suites-Athens, GA, and Comfort Inn-Opelika, AL.


1998

Company develops its first atrium, all suites hotel as a Comfort Suites located in Anderson, SC.


2000

RCR Management Company changes name to Paragon Hotel Company and leases office space for its employees.


2001

PHC developes its first Marriott Hotel- Fairfield Inn & Suites-Anderson, SC and the following year the Fairfield Inn & Suites-Greenwood, SC.


2002

Company purchases an older residential building and converts it to office space.


2005

PHC launches its first website.


2006

Hampton Inn Easley, SC opens.


2008

Hiilton Garden Inn-Lynchburg, VA and Homewood Suites-Greenville, SC purchased during pre-construction phases providing PHC with F&B & extended stay experiences.


2009

Quality Inn-Anderson, SC converts to a full-service Holiday Inn after multi-million dollar renovation.


2010

Hampton Inn Anderson, SC (North) is developed.


2011

New Logo is unveiled during PHC's GM/DOS Leadership Conference.


2011

PHC opens Tennessee's 1st "Gold Certified" LEED Hotel for the US Dept of Energy.


2012

New Office Headquarters in Anderson, SC.


2013

Full-service portfolio addition via Doubletree Hotel conversion in Winston-Salem, NC.


2014

Hampton Inn-Greenville, SC opens as PHC's most "green" hotel.


2015

PHC partners with IHG to develop 3 Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotels.
